Responsibility

OUR BLOG

Our blog continues and speak about what is required of our members as bonafide members of the association

EMBRACING YOUR ROLE AS A FIRSAITE

Hello fellow FIRSAITES! As proud members of of the Federation of Ijebu and Remo Students Association (FIRSA OAU) , we’ve got some responsibilities to hold up. It’s important stuff that makes our FIRSA family strong and vibrant.

MAINTAIN CONNECTIONS.  One of the mostfantastic aspects of is our tigghtly-woven bond bond as a community of I jebu and Remo Students. Therefore, let’s uphold this energetic spirit by stayying connected! Whether it’s gracing FIRSA meetings, keeping up with our social media platforms, or partaking in our gatherings., let’s representand support each other, fellow FIRSAITES.

SPREAD LOVE, NOT DRAMA. We’re all about spreading love and positivity in FIRSA. So, as FIRSAITES, let’s leave the drama at the door and focus on uplifting each other. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, giving a word of encouragement , or simply being there for our fellow FIRSAITES, we should be the kind of family that supports and lifts each other up.

REPRESENT WITH PRIDE.  As FIRSAITES, we’re ambassadors of our Ijebu and Remo heritage. So, we should represent with pride wherever we go! Whether it’s rocking our traditional attire, sharing stories about our culture, or showcasing our talents, let’s shine bright and show the world what
it means to be a FIRSAITE.

RESPECT AND UNITY. In FIRSA, we embrace diversity and celebrate our differences. So, we should always trea each other with respect and kindness. Whether we’re discussing ideas, sharing opinions, or collaborating on projects, let’s do so with open hearts and minds, fostering unity and understanding among all FIRSAITES.

SUPPORT AND SERVE.  Being a FIRSAITE isn’t just about what we can get, it’s also about what we can give. So, let’s look out for each other and lend a helping hand whenever we can. Whether it’s volunteering for community service projects, supporting our fellow FIRSAITES in their endeavors, or advocating for positive change, we should be active participants in making our FIRSA
community even better.

PRIORTIZING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. We know hitting the books isn’t always the most fun, but it’s very vital and crucial. We should give our studies the love they deserve as it is our main priority in school, attend classes, smash those assignments, and crush those exams. When we excel academically, we’re not just making ourselves proud — we’re showing GREAT IFE what FIRSAITES are made of! Remember, being a FIRSAITE is not just a title, it’s a responsibility — one that we carry with pride and honor. So, we must embrace our roles, lift each other up, and continue to make FIRSA a home away from home for all Ijebu and Remo students at OAU.

PAYMENT OF ANNUAL DUES. We all believe that as the interest of our members is paramount to us in the association, it remains the same too in the heart of our members to keep that interest. And in doing so, every bonafide member of the association is mandated to pay an annual due of #2000. We understand the economic sitauation of the country at he moment, but will like to kindly remind that this will help keep the interest of what the assocaiation has in stock for her members, This will really foster the services we provide to our financial member as a whole. In adddition, it will also allow our members to benefit fully from all he annual donatons and contributions the association provides to her members.

On this note, I’ll say, Stay Awesome, Stay FIRSAITE.
